  • A Ritual Guide to Using a Candle for Peace

Finding peace is an essential part of our well-being. A candle can be a powerful tool to help you create a sense of tranquillity and inner calm. Here's a simple guide on how to use a candle to evoke a peaceful atmosphere:

    1. Set Your Intention

Before lighting the candle, take a moment to set a clear intention for your peace ritual. It could be a desire for inner calm, tranquillity in your surroundings, or sending peaceful thoughts to someone in need.

    2. Find a Quiet Space

Seek a peaceful, clutter-free space where you can sit or stand comfortably. It could be a cosy corner, the comfort, of your sofa or anywhere that feels serene to you.

    3. Prepare Mindfully

Take a few deep breaths to centre yourself. Release any tension or distractions, focusing on the present moment.

    4. Light the Candle

Gently light the candle's wick, symbolising the ignition of peace within and around you. Watch the flame flicker to life.

    5. Focus on the Flame

Sit or stand in front of the candle and gaze at the flame. Let your eyes relax as you concentrate on the dancing light. Imagine the flame as a symbol of peace.

    6. Mindful Breathing

Engage in mindful breathing. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a moment, and then exhale slowly through your mouth. With each breath, imagine inhaling peace and exhaling any tension or restlessness.

    7. Send Positive Thoughts

As you meditate on the flame, send peaceful thoughts to yourself, loved ones, or even the world. Visualise these thoughts as waves of calmness radiating from the candle's light.

    8. Gratitude and Reflection

Express gratitude for the peace that exists in your life. Reflect on moments of peace you've experienced and how you can invite more of it into your daily existence.

    9. Close with a Wish

Close your ritual by making a wish for enduring peace. This could be a personal aspiration or a universal hope for peace to prevail in the world.

    10. Extinguish Mindfully

When you're ready to conclude your peace ritual, extinguish the candle carefully. As the smoke rises, visualise your intentions and feelings of peace expanding into the universe.

    11. Carry Peace with You

Take the peaceful energy you've cultivated with you throughout your day. Carry the sense of calm and tranquillity in your heart, knowing that it's always accessible within you.

By incorporating this simple candle ritual into your daily or weekly routine, you can tap into the peace that resides within you and create a harmonious atmosphere in your surroundings. Use the gentle, flickering light as a reminder that peace is a powerful force that can guide you through life's challenges.

  • Always remove the dust cover before lighting.

Ensure a minimum burn time of two hours for the first burn to achieve a full melt pool.

Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.

Trim the wick to 5mm before each burn.

Always ensure the candle is placed on a flat fireproof surface when lighting.

    Never leave a candle unattended.

Burning outside or in a drafty area will significantly decrease the burn time so is advised against.

Keep away from children and pets.
